Processing and comfort:
The Crossfade LP2 are tremendously well made. The gaps are consistent and small, everything looks very stable, there is no rattling, no squeaks. The Adjustierungsmechanismus to adjust the headphones is very sturdy, so he certainly survived many inputs and excerpts. The Hörmuschelaufhängung is each made of metal. The earpieces themselves generally made of plastic, the Shields again also metal and the frame enclosure acts on the metal. The Headband which the core of memory metal (ie a metal that even after frequent bending returns to the starting position) should exist, also acts extremely robust. All in all, I have great confidence that these headphones are not as easy break and a long time to me remain. This is also suggested that the cables are all plastic coated (the small cable connection to the ear cups) and therefore should not break as easily. The earcups are softly padded with leather (-immitat ?!), so that the ears are exposed to positive wearing comfort. The Headband is also on top with leather (again Immitat ?! I do not know - it can not be estimated) and the V-MODA brand lettering processed; the bottom is covered with padded fabric. In general, leaves the Crossfade very comfortable to wear. The weight makes it for me is not a problem (I or find it pleasant) - my friend complained, however, that they were her something too heavy. Because it is a closed over-ear design and (slightly larger) ears are completely covered by the mussels, it is not surprising that you already begin sweating after a while. However, the headphones are still not unpleasant.
Sound quality:
If you connect the crossfade to go unnoticed that the Cans sent to so-called Bass Heads. Who may have Clubfeeling on the ears, stands on (for the price range) clearly drawn, powerful bass and also the beloved kick bass is here certainly like to again indulge in the music enjoyment. So it is not surprising that pieces of the entire electro genre spectrum are reproduced with the crossfade in very good quality. Who wants to enjoy delicate classical sounds in all its glory, is then probably not so happy with this headset. If you have the headphones a bit "burned" (24 - 48h), especially the middle and treble come but a little more advantage. Overall, the Crossfade has a very homogeneous vote (just up the bass emphasis), the high listening possible. As is customary in the category of distinguished Crossfade also relatively well to the stage. With high-quality recordings can be quite easily hear where that instrument and which singer is positioned. Audiophile enthusiasts will not be drawn, however, clear enough - here there is scope for improvement. Generally speaking, there are certainly sound better representatives in this price range, but for me, the crossfade in its vote is awesome and a set of headphones, which I like to grab again and again.
A little tip: if one of low-priced headphones (which are indeed most strongly fueled by distortion equalizer) switches to crossfade, it is advisable first of all to reset the equalizer again. The sound of the headphones is very balanced from the factory, so it hardly requires readjustment.
All in all, a clear buy recommendation for this great product from V-Moda!
