+ Pedometer course
+ Heart rate without chest strap: the accuracy is also neat, if you tape the arm moves up a little; although it responds a little sluggish to changes, but there are also fewer false values (as eg. the million FUSE)
+ Automatic sleep detection (should not be activated, although I do not have a lot of experience with it)
+ Notifications for calls (well, that is not vibiert with each message or Facebook update!)
+ Alarm via vibration
+ Time: is a must if I already wear what wrist (usually on the main job only stupid sayings)
But the execution so has its weaknesses:
- The pedometer is a little liberal: you can certainly pass several thousand steps on a sofa Day (Ask me what I have done)
- Much more serious: there is no way,-ending exercise permanent heart rate monitor (where there would be 'tens of options for that: Always-On Display, Display / vibration for heart rate limits widget on your phone, Audio Feedback, ANT + .. .)
- Also there is no way to turn on the heart rate measurement on the wrist (the one must have the app make)
- The only half-hearted attempt in this direction is the way to get one of the values via double tapping on bracelet on the display; However, works here the recognition less than good (I think the band to go on rest in a sleep mode, from which it first needs to wake up; it is then a double tap fast times a triple- or quad-tap)
- The heart rate measurement is light-based, and the green light is flashing either permanently or the measurement is deactivated; automatic sleep mode at night here would be great because the flashing can quite disturbing
- The vibrator is not oriented towards the stages of sleep (as it should be when Jawbone Up3; if that is then finally on the market)
Overall, as I said, I think the idea is great! Implementation is partly succeeded.
BUT: I buy but not a HR strap that is ultimately for the workout completely useless! Without continuous feedback I have then again wear the chest strap or have all the time my hands on the contacts of the fitness device. I wanted to avoid grad.
But since in the Community are the strong desire for continuous monitoring, I'll wait for the next software update before I sell the unit. Hope that there will soon.
