At Amazon, I bought three 'LED chip for G4 base with 10 SMD LEDs fluorescent color warm white' from Goobay at a price of 7.45 euros. This should replace three 20 watt halogen festoon, the previously stripped themselves of their power-hungry services in the kitchen cabinet lighting.
The design is round with a laterally disposed connecting pins. You would be almost perfect if not the back of the chips would take a few components, which in turn require slot. I have inserted a corresponding photo at the product images.
To the chips can still block, I dismantled the existing lamps in reflectors. Since the light output of the LED chips is always directed very directly, you deflectors also not required here. So finally, could the required space to be created.
The direct comparison between the light LED chip and the halogen Sofitte shows little difference in brightness. The light color of the chip is a little lighter, but still very natural and comfortable.
Since the built-in lamp system transformer needs a minimum load, I was able to replace only two of the three festoon. Da 'fit' it quite well that one of the LED chips did not work right from the start. This I will have to change.
As a result, I now have the power consumption of 60 watts on previously reduced in total just under 25 watts (2x LED chip, each with 2.4 Watt + halogen Festoon 20 watts). Mind you with constant brightness.
Conclusion:
The luminous efficiency of the LED chips is very good, the price of 7.45 euros still tolerated. Qualitatively, it is however questionable if one of three chips is defective already upon delivery. That makes me suspect for the long-term test evil. That's why I forgive for the product 'LED chip for G4 base with 10 SMD LEDs fluorescent color warm white' from Goobay 3 of 5 stars.
