My review here is for the small USB 3.0 Hub with 4 USB ports only.
The packaging is a simple, but absolutely sufficient for the purpose cardboard box. I find it very positive that EasyAcc omitted unnecessary plastic waste.
The package includes not only the actual USB hub a 1m long USB cable, another USB cable for an optional external 5V power supply and a small, yet detailed operating instructions in German and English. Otherwise, just plug the hub, Windows recognizes him after 2 seconds and it is ready for immediate use.
The unit is solid and (like other hubs also) very easy. The 1m long USB cable I personally find good, a key purchase criterion, it is for me not yet. I think it is of secondary importance if the USB hub is placed close to the computer or a little further away. He must indeed somehow still be within reach when you switched devices and unplug wants.
More important are my design and function. And here there is nothing negative to report. The lying above 4 USB ports have sufficient distance from each other in order to easily insert multiple devices simultaneously. The USB-in and the connection for the optional power assistance are attached to the ends. Everything makes a high impression, is stable and precisely, nothing wobbles.
I use the hub to a second laptop (Windows7 / 64bit), partly also with older devices, div. USB sticks (intenso, verbatim), external hard drives (Seagate, Toshiba, TrekStor), a keyboard (Cherry), a mouse (Logitech ) and multiple printers (Samsung, Brother). Everything, including in relation to the speed of data transmission, as expected. Similarly, the backward compatibility was given with USB 2.0 devices.
The optional power supply (intended to connect another computer, a USB charger or an external battery) I have not used, I do not, for example, operate two hard drives without a separate power supply on the same hub. To copy large amounts of data always puts me one of the HDDs in one of the original computer USB port and the other to the hub, it worked so far without problems and there were no losses or interruptions in data transfer.
I think you should consider whether it really needs to be a USB hub with 7 ports and correspondingly larger dimensions also. I extend the 4 ports of the little brother anyway completely.
Conclusion:
This USB hub is doing what he should and works reliably. The price performance ratio fits also. I can recommend without restrictions this product. Clear 5 Stars!
