The LED technology makes rapid progress yes ... I am one of the "early adopters" who have taken early to LED technology in order to keep the environment free of mercury. Meanwhile, the hue is as pleasant as once under tungsten (I daily comparison, because I have stashed bulbs. :)

Also, the price-performance ratio has improved, due to declining lamp and rising electricity prices. I think that this lamp is quickly amortized. The premium over other manufacturers is always justified for me at Osram, due to the -to my experience- much longer service life.

In short, I am satisfied, the product is completely "in order" (4 stars) and I highly recommend it.
