I wanted this adapter mainly use to connect my Sennheiser G4ME Zero headset on my MacBook Air 13 "from the beginning of this year. This did not work because the MacBook support in his Audio Out port, the microphone function only in Apple headset.
Additionally, I have tested the adapter nor the iPhone 6, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and iPod Touch 4 and can confirm the function with it.
