The cable is well made. The locking mechanism works the same, like my Canon Speedlites. So that the adapter sits on the side of the camera securely and firmly in the hot shoe. On the side are hotshoe flash and tripod mount made of metal and also provide a firm grip. I have therefore carried out several test shots with my EOS 50D and the Speedlite 430EX II. The E-TTL control worked flawlessly. Regarding function I noticed no shortcomings. Only attaching the flash adapter on a lamp tripod with tripod screw stuck should conduct one before coasting the cable. Otherwise it gets unwieldy. One would then turn on the tripod because you turn the adapter on the screw, the cable wrapped around the tripod. For this, I would, however, deduct any point. The value for money is ok.
