This adapter works fine I plugged my Freebox V6 HDMI to my old VGA projector (no HDMI) "PJ503D," and after a few adjustments to my box (1280x720, 60Hz, progressive), I can watch my videos HD on my old VIDEOPRO.

Beware of choosing your adapter, do not be deceived ... for me (Cable Matters Adapter HDMI to VGA with Audio Black)
