Since I've taken this 2 Notebook Cooler shortlisted, but me on the Internet could not really decide on one of the two, I both ordered to decide after comparing home for a.

Connectors: 1x USB right side rear, 1x USB left behind (1 USB port is used to connect to a notebook required)
The height can be increased in two coolers back to 1cm by folding feet.
Both are of the base suitable for a 17 'notebook. The NC3000U projects over backwards slightly.

Ergonomics:
The bearing surface of the 2000ers is made entirely of aluminum, which up to the edges is completely flat. In 3000, however, the border front 3.5 cm and 2.5 cm on the sides of shiny plastic that scratches very easily. In addition, the margin to the sides falls down slightly. About 5mm. Because of my notebook the rubber feet are attached so that they are precisely on the edge of the notebook thus is somewhat lower on the support surface so that hardly a gap between the support surface and notebook base remains more freely. Thus, the air can circulate down less optimal.
The fact that the NC2000 forward to 7mm lower than his opponent is working much more enjoyable because the notebook only 9mm higher above the work surface is (in comparison with the NC3000U 15mm).
The area of the NC3000U is completely punched up on the edges. In contrast, only NC2000 'far back. In the last quarter no holes are present.
But does not bother me, because the air intakes at Asus on the bottom is relatively wide at front and right at the front right.
The shape of the 2000s is better suited to it sometimes settle on your lap.

Power:
For the following test, the two front Zalmänner were lifted so far that the supporting surface in the vertical direction is straight and no longer falls forward. Here I have the means of comparing normal printer paper the resistance of air flow through the holes after carelessly exits.
At full capacity, the 3000 provides even a small air cushion under 2 DIN A4 sheets to shovel and this so easy to raise. In the third paper sheet is then flat on the perforated surface. The 2000s, however, it creates even more loosely to raise 5 leaves. Then, the air cushion from sheet to sheet noticeably. Only during the 10th !! !! Leaf is the 2000 hit and the leaves are on plan.
At minimum power the 3000 provides just get the air cushion with 2 leaves. 3 leaves no mm move more into the horizontal.
The 200 wins here at 4 leaves. 5 sheets are on plan.
Is to say that the air flow at the left front quarter NC2000 is highest. This is due to the arrangement of the fan (which I can not quite understand). However, the airflow is evenly distributed among the notebook.
==> Here the point is again clearly on the NC2000.

Volume / noise:
The NC3000U is at the lowest level inaudible and at the highest level yet pleasantly quiet (ie barely audible).
The NC2000 is as quiet as the 3000s at minimum capacity, at full power significantly louder (here I already find it a bit disturbing). The two fans of Asus are significantly quieter at full power. In the 2000s average power of the noise is similar to loud / quiet as the fan of Asus.
But if one compares the air flow (Test see above), the NC2000 transported with minimal power more air toward lower surface as the notebook NC3000U at full power.
==> If the volume would thus decide to draw. The point is still on the NC2000 as this still has significant power reserves compared to NC3000U.

Quality / processing
Both seem very valuable process. The only downer is the plastic edge and the trailing edges of the 3000s.

The NC2000 gets from me 4.5 star (half star deduction for m. E. high price)
At the NC3000U I forgive 3.5 stars (1 star deduction in direct comparison with the NC2000, half star deduction for the excessive price)
The scoring was made neutral. Although I must say that my NC3000U beginning (as I said at first) because of the larger fan and more promised I almost just ordered this. Now, the 3000 goes back and the 2000s must perform his duties on Asus Notebook (G73J).

Edit: After nearly 8 months one of the two integrated fans began unfortunately, to be loud. I suspect that this, as described in other product reviews to these bearing damage. Have complained and sent in the fan. Treasures that the fan has about 300 hrs. Under his belt. At this price, especially under this name I am a bit disappointed so I abwerte the fan from 4.5 to 3.5 stars.
