The Bluetooth speaker is supplied with a 3.5mm jack cable and a micro USB charging cable.
Both cables are each 60cm long.
The included Quick Start Guide is available in English, German and French and very well structured and understandable.
The Cube makes to its name and is square with an edge length of 9cm.
It weighs 335 grams, making it well suited for mobile applications (eg in the swimming pool, vacation, school etc.).
The surface of matte black plastic looks futuristic.
I think they are very well done!
All buttons and ports are well fitted and placed discreetly.
The outer impression of quality is therefore very good.
In the upper section there are the loud / quiet & skip buttons / Skip + button and the button for play / pause.
The volume can be changed by pressing and sliding, which I think is positive.
The Magic Cube also has a 3.5mm input.
This is also on the back as the microUSB charging port
Pairing (Pairing) with the desired Bluetooth device such as a smartphone or tablet works simple.
Simply dice start by pressing and holding the Play button and then select the Bluetooth on the smartphone / tablet manually
The speaker is then found in the device list as "Magic Cube" and connected.
After a successful pairing, the connection is saved and is automatically produced at the next start.
NFC for an even faster connection provides the speaker not to.
There is to sound positive as negative to report.
The voices and instruments are presented very clean.
On bass lacks the Rubik's Cube but a little, which I find a bit disappointing in size.
The Magic Cube has unfortunately also not aptX, with which one can get in my experience even clearer sound when the player device supports it.
The manufacturer's specification of 20 meters range is completely covered.
6-8 meter range are in direct connection in it, then there will be interference and crashes.
After an intermediate wall is closing at just over 5 meters.
These are similar values as I have observed in other BT speakers in the price range.
On the other hand very positive is the runtime of approximately 18 hours.
This is due to the strong 2600 mAh battery, which is so very generously dimensioned.
In return, however, the speaker approved then also at least 5 hours for a full refueling, which I find a bit too long.
Thus, the input current is probably in good 600-700mAh (power loss included in the calculation).
With an input current of 1 safely even 3-4 hours charging time would have been possible.
I can recommend the Avantek Magic Cube total only conditionally.
It looks cool, is meticulously crafted, has a decent sound and a very long duration.
However there are no NFC, aptX, bass volume and a speakerphone.
The charging time and range are not exactly top of the class.
Thus the price-performance ratio in total is rather average.
I therefore give as barely 4 star, but would ask the Avantek price might adapt something (currently 30).
I hope this review could assist you in your buying decision ...
