The build quality is very good all around, the stop however is to be locked only at 150mm - the same focal length, the Sigma over the whole range of time (also costs twice). As a landscape photographer I use almost always a tripod and this is strongly recommended when Tamron also in connection with the VR and SVA. Handheld shooting at 1/1000 are largely out of focus, the committee is already considerable. But with a lot of practice, a steady hand and the correct settings and the works, sometimes even very good, here the excellent working VC really helps. Another advantage is the use of a camera which allows VERY high ISO noise-free, since the modest but light intensity at LOW. ISO only allows shooting in optimal lighting conditions. Therefore: Tripod and SVA, remote release also highly recommended.
As a conclusion can be noted: the Tamron is measured by the price a hammer member that even those who no 8-10,000 can spend on a big Tele / want, opens up the possibility to take pictures with a long focal length and good to very good pictures Generate. For the journey with not a lot of luggage an ideal travel companion, the zoom range is ideal for wildlife photography, the minimum focus distance is under 3m class. It is definitely not a reportage glass (of the hand) and also for fast-moving subjects only appropriate when the body extremely high ISO allows for a very short exposure time and using a telephoto Eiger / fluid head etc.. Here you should definitely off the VC, which is also recommended to the tripod for landscapes.
From my perspective: strong buy recommendation
