I had some difficulties for the screws because the head is hardly visible. A notice indicating the screws format would have been helpful. I finally arrived with a small screwdriver Torxx. The screws are in fact hollow 6 not but I did not have enough small key ... A small tool provided would have been welcome.
However I had a read speed of less than half the manufacturer's specifications (250 instead of 500 MB / s.) This is due to the limited speed 3Gb / s SATA port used by the optical drive, which is more than enough for an ordinary hard drive for an SSD but limiting.
To take full advantage of the SSD so I reversed the SSD and the HDD. My SSD is installed in the original HDD compartment of the computer and the old drive took place in this adapter. Everything is optimal at present.
The base is metal but covered with a plastic sheet that I have removed to promote cooling of the hard disk.
Strong points:
+ Metal body which helps cooling
+ All the necessary holes to fix it in the computer
+ Standard faceplate that can receive the façade of the old optical drive
+ Black facade generic supplied
Weak points:
+ No instructions provided
+ Quite difficult access screws
+ No tool provided to the screws
