Packed the part has been really good - there can be little damage during shipping genuine.
So, unpacked, read Quick Start Guide and inserted installation DVD. The wheel began to turn. After a few seconds I thought that the DVD drive of my laptop flying apart because the installation DVD obviously had a mega-balance. At first I thought that it is probably on my laptop. Therefore, I tried at least, the data read out on my PC and burn it to an ISO CD - nothing there. Both drives of my PC's have exactly behave like that on my laptop ....
Is not bad, I thought to myself and invited down all components of the installation DVD at TerraTec. First, I installed all the drivers, then the software and finally I joined the DVB-T / DAB USB stick from the package of NOXON to USB port (on the stick is TERRATEC printed).
First, I looked at the function with Freeview TV. The Installation and Setup ran absolutely faultlessly designed and very easy. The reception is really great.
Second, I wanted to test DAB function. But could the plotlich plugged and a few seconds still perfectly functioning NOXON DAB Stick not found. Then I thought, mutatis mutandis, that possibly the installation is not clean expired. So, the application section again installed - but nothing works.
Since'm into Google gegange and looked to see if I am the only one with the problem or not and whether there is already a solution for this. The result has been quite sobering: In Windows XP well should only DAB function properly and Win7 only DVB-T. I wonder if under VISTA both work?
Summary and Star award:
- At least for me, the installation of the enclosed volume has absolutely not work - there is wg. minor errors only 1-star deduction (hoffentl. it's really just an exception).
- To the manufacturer advertises DVB-T and DAB on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 received (each operating system whether with 32 or 64 bit is supported). But in my experience and experience of other users WIN7 works DAB not under Win7. If you rely on postings of XP users (and I do), works well not really under XP Freeview. Since it is one of two promised functions at DAB or DVB-T reception ability will be deducted two out of four stars.
Conclusion:
If you only need one of the two functions, it is advisable to look at whether the operating system adapts to function still. For my part, the machine is of limited use, because the problem is probably the driver.
In the PC world, I have seen a video where it was tested on a MEDION laptop the DVB-T stick. Funny, I have a MEDION laptop with Win7 64 bit - and because the stick works just as described above. By the way, the support from TERRATEC is completely unprofessional and rude.
