I confirm all the qualities of this headset mentioned in other reviews: lightness, simplicity, price, quality of listening and the microphone ... I added another: despite its earloop, it is well suited to eyeglass wearers thanks to its lightness and thinness and flexibility of earhook.
However, it has several shortcomings:
1. The biggest downside is the volume button. Placed on the side it is too exposed to involuntary support by placing a finger or repositioning the headset in the ear, it must frequently check or correct the volume level with the smartphone. On the other hand, the volume knob works in one direction, from mini to maxi buckle. To reduce the volume, you must first increase the maximum before returning to the mini. With my old Voyager 520, the middle button multi-function was not significantly exposed to handling errors and allowed to lower the volume of a downward movement or increase of a movement upwards.
2. The attenuation of ambient noise is not as effective as my Voyager 520 because it lacks a second microphone on the outside of the headset. This headset is difficult to use in windy walk or bike but no problem by car windows closed.
3. Bluetooth, HFP and HSP 1.5 1.1 do not allow use other than telephony. For example, it is not possible to listen to the instructions of GPS navigation app or listen to music from an audio / video player.
If you are looking for near-perfect headset with efficient DSP (noise reduction), A2DP (for music, voice GPS navigation ...), voice calls and announcements commands, see more on the side of the Voyager family ( Edge or Legend) but it's two to three times more expensive!
