Panasonic TX-L24X5E disappointed on the 2nd view

Structure:

The menu is concise, only the PIN entry at the transmitter switch irritated.
The settings are quite simple and straightforward.
The channel scan takes a long time, but has 1070 stations found.
The channel number, you can swap only cumbersome, but do not move!
(Menu / Setup / ok. Then Tuning Menu / OK. Then enter PIN 0000 / ok.)
If you do that einzelen at each station, it gets annoying.
Good thing you have to do it only once, and you can hide unnecessary channel from the channel list.
Poor that there is no indication as to whether the transmitter is encrypted, or only one audio channel.

Operation:
The remote control is compared with the Panasonic TX-L32EW30 cheap but nevertheless solid and clearly good.
However, the batteries are only tiny micro cell for remote control.
Switching on takes a long time with 15 seconds.
Teletext is against it very quickly.
The nice feature with the Favorites button and the remote control for 7 freely selectable transmitter I think is pointless.
Switching the channel takes a long time compared to all previous TV's I know.
Switching off the device does not work in standby mode.
(So ​​only switch on the device, then turn on the device)

The picture quality is simply outstanding.
When image format is a choice of Auto, 4: 3, 16: 9 and 2 unnecessary zooms. Pan & Scan mode can be disengaged.
However, here the problem of the black bars at all sides in older TV broadcasts,
whether in 4: 3 or 16: 9 format will be broadcast.
Since helps only temporarily push the format or the switch to analog TV transmitters directly via the remote control.

Sound:
The sound is totally unacceptable, it just sounds awful!
In 2x3 Watt can not expect much, but my clock radio has a better sound quality.

Connections:
Standard connectors like 2x HDMI, 1x SCART 1x USB and are tuned and
even has a YUV component input and VGA input.
The headphone output can be regulated separately.
The optical digital output is a bit exaggerated for such a small device.
With such a miserable sound quality you could wish for an audio RCA output for very sensible boxes.
Either the device is schliest digitally to an expensive home theater system or you use the headphones output
for PC speakers or a stereo system. Such additional costs, a 32 inch is cheaper.

Negatives:
- Catastrophic Sound
- Channel number setting consuming

Conclusion:
Nice second device, suitable for the bedroom / children's / guest room.
Only the poor sound and thereby limited connectivity is really a problem.
A better alternative, I have so far not found.
So if you can do without good sound or a few euros for good sound puts it,
