I had to decide between this and the Canon 10x30 IS. The difference is 100 euros (300 vs. 400). The 10x30 is superior in all respects. It is better in the hand; it can be operated with two AA batteries (rather than an ominous mono cell in 8x25, which I have never seen); The surface is scratch resistant; the field of vision is felt much larger. In itself, this binocular is fine - the stabilization function is really excellent - but I recommend the "bigger".
