Since the Amazon description is somewhat contradictory (one is "size normal fit" again "is made half a size smaller") I can confirm that the latter is true.
The shoes are extremely comfortable, man may well go barefoot in it. I ordered the shoes in sand, as they are not in rough but smooth leather.
Great shoes, confirmed my good opinion of Timberland, I will certainly buy more Timberland Shoes!
