Side design, it is solid, not too heavy and handy for and by toddlers. Another advantage, even for a "wet" period (intensive drooling due to teeth), it remains functional! (We tested, wet, soggy I should say, some keys began to have trouble and ultimately arrested are to run, having shaken well in all directions and have brought out the overflow, everything is back Order! Very well thought!)
It has two modes: a music and animal sound. It is interactive and invites the child to participate ("The pig plays the xylophone" noise xylophone key flashing and then question: "who plays the xylophone?", Or "playing in rhythm," and if small music the child wants to, he can play the melody by pressing the (any) and the melody is played at their own pace!).
This is of course a bit repetitive, but it is bearable and you can adjust the volume (two possibilities). He goes to sleep quickly enough without solicitation and restarts when the child wants to play with again. Again, perfectly formed!
Adopted at about 5 months, he remains a faithful playmate since (9 months)! At first, interest came from the lights and sounds that walked more or less alone (by typing in the feet or hands messy ways), then there was the curiosity to show sounds or notes (work of more fine motor skills, choose a key and another to move the monkey).
Tested with older children (2-3 years), it still has an interest through different activities (mentioned above).
A good product summary!
