The performance is excellent!
Since some of my internal 3.5 "branded plates (approx 1-2 years old) are more slowly!
USB 3.0 is also useful, because even when random access (512KB)
creates the plate even more than with USB 3.0 is theoretically possible.
All in all, the external disk a success for my use as a backup medium.
As USB 2.0 it works for me only with a cable,
but you should pay attention to sufficient current values of the USB ports when using the laptop.
So it may be necessary an optional cable.
