Small, valuable and above all stable!

Looking for a stable and valued travel tripod I put myself in the endless expanses of the Internet and was not one bit by dozens of reviews smarter. It should be small, light and strong enough for a DSLR with telephoto. In the end I decided to go for the Cullmann magnesite Copter Multi tripod. Unfortunately the Cullmann ball head is designed for a weight up to 1 kg. So just ordered the raw tripod and the first test object the Novoflex Ball 19 What can I say ... he can stay directly.

When you unpack the head, immediately notice the clean processing and a pleasant weight. The ball head acts worked "from the solid". The metal version ensures an excellent feel. The locking screw can be thanks butterfly handle fix clean without spending too much force. The plate moves clean and scratch-free, the head turns as light and soft.

The head can be mounted on 1/4 "threads, such as 3/8" threads. These then must be inserted or removed in accordance with the enclosed reducing bolt. The installation on a DSLR can be somewhat tricky, since the plate is relatively thin and therefore difficult to access.

Otherwise, the head keeps my Nikon D300 with battery grip and 100-500 mm telephoto easily into position. So far, I could not even the otherwise frequently occurring slight "sagging" notice. Once tightened, the head is also found really.

Mounted on Cullmann magnesite Copter Multi stand this combination is to be small and light enough to take anywhere with accepted. However, remember that strong enough to take it with a 3-kg camera lens combination. For me, absolutely ideal for a city break or any other situation in which the massive and 3.5 kg tripod would otherwise only disturbing. 5 stars and absolute buy recommendation for this ball head!
