The USB stick should be connected to the internal USB port of an HP Rack Server, serve as a boot device for Debian GNU / Linux.
(Written with 'dd` 300MB on the Device) A few speed tests to USB 2.0 were pretty konstat 27MB / s.
Then the stick under Linux has been partitioned with 'fdisk` created a 300MB boot partition and a 3GB partition for the system. Of course, in this case the partition alignment was observed that started all partitions on multiples of 1 megabyte.
When copying data to the USB stick, there was then a short time error messages, including
usb 2-1: reset high-speed USB Device Number 3 using ehci_hcd
The USB stick was then apparently in a read-only mode:
One could read wonderful (via 'dd` or' mount -o ro`), but once you tried to write something on the stick, it rained USB timeouts.
Even under Windows, the stick then could no longer describe.
Conclusion: no use.
