On the roads of Medora (Paperback)

Customer Review

This book is a treat!
The style is hilarious, original and dynamic: lots of irony / cynicism. (The dialogue is rich, the sharp wit!)
The characters are very worked, each slightly caricatured but for me this is what makes their strength throughout the story!

Having been Aupair there a long time, and increasingly in Seattle, I appreciated the details and anecdotes (presumably autobiographical) that allowed me to travel through time and back into my own adventure!

I also enjoyed that great topics / questions but also bcp truths it address with such accuracy:
-The American dream not so 'dreamy' we think.
- The role of aupair SVT that depends on the family in which we fall!
- The clash of cultures that proves that the grass is not greener elsewhere tjs but simply different.
-The quest for freedom / personal achievement (Universal, I imagine!)
- Meetings, trips that will leave us memories, good and bad, but mostly engraved forever ...

... And all written with a good dose of humor! PAR-DONE!

In short, a book that has the power, once eaten, leaving a smile on your face, when the last tour page!
