Quality / appearance
The scope of supply in addition to the Body Clock and manual also includes a 42 W halogen lamp. This is not a replacement light bulb but has to be screwed into the socket of Bodyclock only.
However, this process is straightforward. The top of the Body Clock, which looks at first glance like high quality frosted glass, is made of plastic. Pressing the bottom of the plastic cover together, this raised and the halogen lamp are screwed into the socket.
The processing of the Body Clock in total is nothing to complain about on. It is not high, however, has no gaps or notable errors. The appearance is a matter of taste. The small round display to the underlying three control buttons and the blue border strongly remind me of a baby monitor. On the back of the Body Clock because of the halogen lamp vents. These are projected in operation even on the wall. That too is a matter of taste
Functions / Operating
Despite just three control buttons and the few functions the Lumie Bodyclock several seconds are needed in the operating instructions. The instructions, although relatively short, but could be more structured and understandable. Overall, the setting time, alarm, sleep timer is so very used to.
The strongest criticism is for me, however, that the light intensity of Wecklichts is too weak. When simulated sunrise reaches the light - at full intensity - is no longer sufficient, the other side of the bed of a double bed. In multiple tests in the morning before the alarm beep and no bright light were perceived. The alarm is similar to a fire alarm, so that you can experience anything but a gentle wake. Other Weckgeräusche are not adjustable.
The Body Clock will also act as a bedside lamp manufacturer. The full light intensity actually no longer sufficient at about one meter distance in to yet easy on the eyes to read a book.
Other
The Body Clock has a snooze function. To this, however, trigger must be kept pressed one of the three small buttons for several seconds. In half-waking state this is a challenge! One Touch function on the housing there is unfortunately not. Two adjustable alarm times you look also vain.
Conclusion:
The Lumie Bodyclock Starter 30 is a solid alarm clock with light function. However, it is not a wake-up system. I miss it functions as rich, bright light or individually adjustable Weckgeräusche. In this price range is better models on the market.
