Well I'm not disappointed. :)
The case is sober, discreet, which makes it very attractive.
The leather is beautiful, soft, pleasant to the touch.
The finish is exemplary.
The front and rear are reinforced for rigidity, with flexible flanks against.
As I thought, magnetic closure does not include "centering" for the positioning of the flap, as is often the case on other cases. But the magnet plays its role, and the flap does not slide easily as one might have feared.
However, it may open by accident but I do not feel that this could cause problems in practice. I guess the little strap with clip on the side this is to lock the strap if the system has to jump. Before ordering, I thought it was maybe a shoulder strap.
Anyway I still prefer this type of case allows easy access to the device, which is not the case with tourists covers with zippers ...
If one chooses to carry the HX9V in this case taking all thanks to the strap out from one side, it goes very fair compared to the plastic molding positioned at the base of the strap, and finds himself flush with the 'case: indeed, the HX9V, the clip for the strap is located in the middle of the device, unlike the TZ10 for example my father has, with tether strap at the top. The case does not include intelligent as cutting on the DCC-1500 Canon precisely to let out the strap. Remember that this kind of attention is rare and can not match all devices, as is the contention of this Baxxtar case. In short, with Sony, we must tighten the strap to tightly close the flap. With the Panasonic, not need. Question ergonomics, this is the only difference.
Both devices are very well calibrated without backlash. Impeccable.
Back part, the presence of a passing (stitched) to belt. I specify that it is not too loose. For smaller belts, sewing can resume at the crease to close a little more passing.
Presence of a storage pocket for a second SD card. If housed horizontally to make it disappear, it is then almost impossible to stand down finger relax the material appears to be vulgar sky. To avoid this inconvenience, it will therefore store the map as the picture (or opt for a micro SD with common adapter that will remain in the unit with the main board), which may eventually wipe your device while its inclusion in the cover or damage the screen during transport or muscular crushing.
In my opinion, it is best to opt directly for sufficient capacity card, and downright battle itself this package because the seams do not cross all the case, but only the inner layer. Incidentally, this potential optimization will facilitate insertion of the device into the cover for the lens at presenting itself, it abuts against the front edge of the holster stiff enough, forcing them to return (impractical when walking or hiking). Returning the unit to go with the SD lens side pocket, and although this time it hangs on the relief of this package, even if it does not contain any card (the sky is not perfectly plated especially if a card has been transported, or stored horizontally if you followed!).
Apart from this detail, I recommend this case whose price / quality ratio is still very interesting.
Hoping to have you sufficiently lighted, because the choice of a case from photos or specifications is still a risk!
