As mentioned above can set the recording quality / production to wish arg left
Within the possibilities the record and later the first CD edition, but sounded pretty decent.
A & M used my experience then good vinyl and while the first CD of the 80 were often rotten, I have with the old "Master + Series" of A & M only good experiences gemacht.Zwar these were hardly worked, rustled often stronger than the later remasters, mistakes were adopted 1: 1, it sounded but always authentic, not fined, closer to the vinyl.
1995 saw a US Remaster, I have never heard; it was carried out by David Collins.
2002, the legendary Bob Ludwig then turned on the master tapes to create; the result was not only a remastering for CD, but also for SACD.Es were so hybrid SACDs herausgebracht.Deren CD layer (-layer) corresponds to the normal Remaster- CD, SACD layer is intended for appropriate high-definition player.
Ludwig has delivered a clean work, but also errors in the recording corrects what are me in places easily irritiert.Die dynamic range well, and was in no way overrides.
That abound reissues, new editions, Japan pressings (Vinyl, CD, SACD), SHM-editions are now (a particularly expensive carrier material for pieces of silver), etc., is quite clear with such a successful album.
I am satisfied with my old record, the Bob Ludwig and the remaster Master + CD and leave it at that.
