Dirt Showdown. Finally a real Destruction Derby successor

I as an old gambler with my almost 35 years and Playstation fan first hour had been waiting for such a game on the PS3. First of all I have to say yes, this way forward Game is really really class and sets the mood without end. At that time my first game on the Playstation 1 Destruction Derby. I loved it, to heat the edge and to ramming other vehicles and to roll flat in the arena. That was exactly my thing. Then came out Destruction Derby 2. That was a bit better. Until then, for me there was never eigenlich right replacement on the PS2 and PS3. For Destruction Derby Ray was on the PS1 and Destruction Derby Arenas then on the PS2 also not lacking. Only Flatout on the PC then has again taken up the gameplay of the original Destruction Derby. So as I said, there was never again a real Destruction Derby spare for me. But now at last is Dirt Showdown since ^^

I wonder anyway as just the Dirt developers have come up with the idea for such a game? The game has already somehow the style of MotorStorm and if the game is not the name "Dirt Showdown" would then one would never guess that the game come from the creators of Dirt series comes: D

Compare Dirt Showdown and MotorStorm

What had always bothered me when MotorStorm is the distances are so vast / were and you could only win if you knew the best routes through the area. In Dirt Showdown against cordoned round courses there exactly as I like without having to constantly crashes down from any cliff;) courses such as in the manner of an 8 So routes which cross so you can scrap well. And of course there's arenas where you have to ram each other broken or pushed over the edge. The graph I find this better than MotorStorm. Partly almost photo the route backgrounds are already realistic. So almost a GT5 for street lout like me ^^ GT5's just on time but pretty barren when you have to drive for hours endurance race to points. Yes GT5 is also cool with its realism and its hundreds of cars that you can move but it's definitely not as much fun as Dirt Showdown! Then I found it in MotorStorm Anyway real crap that there were no replays. For me it's always the greatest when I can again reinziehen the replay after a race and can watch with pleasure as I have destroyed the enemy. I always vermist in MotorStorm.

So Dirt Showdown is one of my favorite game.

What else can you highlight? So graphic is indeed very good. I been playing the game on my 113 inch big screen via HD projector and do not get eye cancer ^^

The 5.1 DTS sound is also hammer. Here one is really the midst of it.

What I find very good for a racing game for the first time is the race commentator. The skin out crazy funny sayings, which although not as often repeated as in other racing games. I mean one is anyway only the celebration by making the other flat but when the commentator still gives his two cents is to grin even more on.

Oh yes. I think that's the music alone is worth the purchase price almost. While I stand normally not on rock but here make the songs really happy. It is a mixture of rock songs and Electro. Really very appropriate. Here you have the music not turn off because they nerft permanently, no here you turn the music volume even at 100%. Yes really exactly my taste. Real Top.

Online Well what can I say ... yes DESS also rips. It's nice to hear again and again how an Englishman annoyed if you drive him back purely ^^

The game's just fun. It is also never gefustet. If you lose you play offline halt to the beginner is schaffbar definitely for everyone. Also online if there ends up in last place ... no matter ... because you yourself here has a loser his fun;)

The only thing I might miss is the ability to have the option to play the game in 3D.
