Following the disappearance of our croque monsieur machine after long years of service, we turned to this unit which offers to make waffles in addition to waffles and toasted sandwiches. It is little more!
The device is aesthetic and ..... it's almost the only quality in my opinion!
It is true that with 780 W, little risk of burning anything (it is annoyingly slow). Pretty good for the waffles and wafers certainly but the heater is not homogeneous. While the above is barely golden, bottom, he begins to burn .... must return croques! Not practical. Watts are clearly insufficient and resistance seem unequal.
Another detail, shape molds croques: they are too small and have a rather unlikely form. It is almost impossible to find as small bread and with this form if rounded commercially! Aberrant for such a recent device!
The molds are simple to install, they are clipped (ah, a second positive point ..) but-and this may seem anecdotal even ridiculous - they are equipped with an item that exceeds (and is used to fix them in the device) and that makes them very little practical storage because you can not really suit them, and there are 3 pairs of molds!
The device is equipped on the front of a small hook that spares us from having to rely heavily toasted sandwiches to flatten and for closing the device maintaining a constant support. It's a good thing. Pity just that with prolonged use of the device, this little hook becomes hot and even burning, making it hard and painful use.
In short, this device performs its functions: you'll have your ham and cheese sandwich or waffle at the end but rest assured you will have waited a long time, with a toasted side than the other and by burning your fingers to open the machine.
Frankly, you'll get your waffle or crunches with a more powerful camera, better designed, more functional and perhaps even cheaper!
