From my point of view (and it is right here in my personal opinion), this book does not deserve all the praise that is made in. Certainly it is rather a good book (why I give it 3 stars) but not exceptional, and that does not deserve all the publicity that accompanies it. First the positives: the story is rather well-crafted, well written. There are several twists (actually 2 or 3) that hold the reader spellbound. The story is original and the author gives a deep America without the concession picture today, the functioning of his "justice" and the role played by the media, a picture of America today ' hui who has not erased the traces of the Great Depression. Now for blackheads: history, certainly original and well done, is devoid of action. Everything is based on the "psychology" of the characters and their feelings. And that is where the shoe pinches because the characters are unlikely, we do not. There are many invraissemblances in print. The situations and reactions of the characters are impossible. Certainly it is a fiction, and we can not afford gaps. But here it does not stick with a story that wants included in the reality of America today. And, to conclude, the end of the book is as invraissemblable and wasted, the last 50 pages are laborious, it remains unsatisfied .... In conclusion: a nice little reading, interesting (if you sit on the invraissemblances) but not worth 4 or 5 stars.
