I've bought here, the system according to the numerous positive comments at Media Markt around the corner and the same structure, parallel to my old Logitech system but leave to have a direct comparison. Generally, I have a pretty high expectations of Hifi. PC speakers I've always felt as a last resort, hence my handle to the not so favorable system from Bose. The first disappointment I experienced before purchasing pre-listening in the media market. When you turn the volume knob creaks it loud and clear from both speakers, the seller told me that this course comes from the extremely frequent use in the store by the customer. However, show even the 70 Eur cheap systems from Logitech and Co not such deficits. I bought the Bose Companion 3 so yet and built it at home on the same. What stands out immediately, in about 80cm distance I hear very clearly the noise of the speakers, although the computer is not silent, and the washing machine is running audibly in the bathroom. This noise is so annoying that one is almost forced to play music or other media by the way. As for the playback of music, it is the system to use entirely, or in the context of the expected. The bass is pleasant, not at all "brutal" or "violent". But the whole system lacks something on the warm tone, between the two speakers and the subwoofer is very clear to hear a frequency hole. The centers are therefore a bit weak and the highs very clearly, but also clear. In S-tones speakers tend, unfortunately, like the hiss. A direct comparison to my old Logitech Z-340 shows the significantly lighter and detail-drawing character of the Bose system, which I had not expected. I actually like this kind of play, my hifi equipment is also otherwise rather bright and analytical, but still like it better the Z-340 by Logitech. It does not sound as good or better, but more enjoyable, there is no noise and hissing-sounds are much less likely to listen. My résumé is that the Bose Companion 3 probably go back, I'll listen to me another two speaker systems here, which, incidentally, much cheaper and then I decide definitively.
