Negative points:
- A screen that is useless since too small, and is considerably down battery. The screen was not present on version 2 and did not bother anything. The screen does nothing compared to version 2 if not the ability to choose the scan size only. A less energy display would have been enough.
- Autonomy. When the battery (batteries) is "low", which happens rather quickly, the scanner may light but turns off immediately after an attempt to scan. Provide rechargeable batteries. In addition, although the case protects from dust but lacking a hard case to prevent ignition in a bag. A rechargeable battery usb would have been more effective.
- Difficult to scan the pages edges for large formats (A4 or slightly larger) for the pages to the left because of the curvature. You have to be placed flat and must return the scanner for a scan more or less close to the edges. The use requires to capture a certain technique to have a clean scan.
- The marks marking the scan area are barely visible on the sides of the unit. I've painted white to see.
Positives:
- Scanning a small format book (minus the A4 width) is very convenient. Just use the device to the vertical from the inside to the outside of the book.
- Easily transportable.
- Effective for frequent scans but short periods. Version 2 was better autonomy.
In the end, I put it 3 stars rather than 4 as having been interested in the product with version 2, I expected to have a more powerful product, and I was disappointed. However, it serves its purpose.
Just check the price compared to the previous version to realize that there is something wrong about this product.
