Yesterday I bought Colin McRae Dirt 2 for PSP and honest enntäuscht said!
I've expected more of Colin McRae, the PS1 & PS2 parts are indeed characterized by good graphics and sophisticated driving experience.
The graphics leaves much more than just wishing. The 'Lego - Duplo - style "runs like a red thread through the whole game. Both the menu and in race mode. Not even the repetition is graphically well! It jerks properly and you also get to see just the first 3 minutes (maybe even better in this graph).
The sound effects are as weak as the graphics. The engine noise sounds more like a fly under Vandal- influence !!!
The background music itself is not bad, but listen to the music I buy no play !!!
But apart from the eye-candy that are not so available, it does not need special "driver-skills".
The gameplay is so simple, that's what I brought gold having previously coached the first 16 races in World mode without in time trial! Next I have not played from fadesse! It is absolutely sufficient to go to 90% of the curves of gas! This makes the game in all respects pointless!
For a simulation of how to pay them so much money, something annoys me.
Conclusion:
Poor graphics, sounds bad, barren gameplay, good music!
I can only each of a modern racing simulation would advise against this game.
Very good values gets me Gran Turismo PSP!
Graphics very well, driving skills is required (not just flat), sounds are bad okay music.
Also has its shortcomings, but the gameplay is excellent.
I think Codemasters should stay away from portable systems, or visit a programming workshop.
One reads also nothing good of F1 - 2009!
