The Swedish Cavalier is the first novel I read of this great Czech writer who plays with our imagination from beginning to end of the story. The story of the two men is extremely involved. We go from fantasy to reality and the author plays with our imagination with great finesse. We will remember of course the "tour de force" final mark but this story by his strength through his dark side and very real at once. All lovers of historical fiction can not worshiping this great book.
