I had the black HTC One S received under a contract extension. HTC has really disappointed me. The smartphone has enough potential to become a blockbuster but HTC has botched it right. The piece was not my first smartphone and not the first of HTC, therefore I'm quite used to it is from HTC and other manufacturers. Enough talk now for 'Telephone'. One can say many things about smartphones but there are still phones, with which one can also call must. This is precisely not the case with the One S. No matter what network with which the SIM card or from which networks all the time to hear a very prominent, obtrusive background noise. It is so strong that I could hear it even on a busy street. Furthermore, even in choppy 'full' power indicator of the interlocutors. As memories come up to old walkie-talkies from my childhood. This is true both in the mobile network as well as calls to landlines. For a 500 expensive smartphone is an absolute no-go. If the noise is not about the general channel noise in the mobile network, I would describe it more as a noise oversteering amplifier. Maybe this is also the case, as the call volume even at the lowest level is still decently loud. I find such a volume personally annoying, but that is not included in the assessment. Another 'feature' which is not at all for a smartphone of the class, is the display. Especially on a white background is a clear points grid to detect. I am, regardless of whether the AMOLED display on or what know I what is. I come from the Incredible S, which has a lower pixel density and not have the problems there. It simply can not be. If these problems are known, then I wonder why HTC built such a display ?! Although the processing of the smartphone is perfectly fine and I had no problem with the Simabdeckung to surface, the so-called. Micro Arc Oxidation 'proven flowery Werbeversprächen. Within 2 days I had on all sides Scratch, under which shone through the aluminum. The scratches can not wipe, let alone that they 'wegoxidieren' as some users reported in various forums. I treat generally smartphones with kid gloves but why pray tell, a good piece after 2 days is completely scratched? Overall, there are still some small software bugs and the like. I personally do not care about the software matters, since HTC has quite quickly so far always brought updates. In conclusion, I can only say that a smartphone with which you can not make calls, can not fulfill its purpose. The two devices that I had had the same problems. I guess just that these problems occur on many devices. I will not try the HTC One S. I just test no desire and no time 10 devices to maybe someday get a functioning. Especially not at 500th I am temporarily switched to my Incredible S again. Next week I get the One X. Now I'm curious to see how a good piece reflected. I just wonder why HTC, why? The device has so many ways but with the current shortcomings of the other manufacturers HTC will probably pull away. Should questions arise, I will be happy to answer them via the comment function. The review describes my past experience with the HTC One S. I am far from here against HTC to bash or do similar.
Update 30.4
It was pointed out to rename positive aspects of the phones. In terms of performance, the smart phone is beyond all doubt. As described in some other reviews, nothing jerky. Entries will be implemented immediately. Games like Shadowgun conjure up an image on the screen, I knew so far only of 5-year-old computer games. HTC Sense filled me getting better, that is also the reason why I simply can not get away from HTC ;-) Much has also been named in other reviews. The errors described above are for me but so blatantly that I unfortunately can only awarded 2 stars :-(
