The package arrived today after two days with me. First surprise: Is that easy - is really a phone inside?
Yes - phone, base station, charging cradle, dual power supplies and two AAA batteries + BDA were packaged beautifully clean. So get to work ...
The first impression:
It is damn easy. A real flyweight, this Panasonic. The look appears very valuable - unfortunately it feels like cheap plastic. Even the black piano lacquer on the back is certainly not long remain high gloss black. But that's just speculation. So pure battery, display stickers removed and flux connected the base station.
Base station and charging cradle are incidentally also very easy. At the base I certainly do not go ran (they can also be plugged into the wall) - but the charger is really a joke. Easy for my quality feeling.
Commissioning:
Stained. That was the second impression. The menu stands out with every imaginable color. Welcome input from memory in Asia :) Fix a phone number. First disappointment: The handset does not have separate keys per digit. There is a plastic rocker weekly goals. The pressure point is indeed OK - but blind typing so difficult. No matter - the number could still be good input. Then the phone to your ear and - what was that? Gets me to someone? How this gentle gong "diiiiiiiiiiingggg"? Oh Weia! My phone has a screw loose. At least something is vibrating within the handset. With just a tap on the finger or picking Take your ear. It sounding like a coiled spring that is easily tapped. But there also has been going through my call. And now it comes: the voice quality is really awesome. Both handsfree and the ear, the quality is really worth 5 stars. So to a phone function. Crystal Clear "diiiiiiiiing" - I touched the device other :(
Well - so the phone is talking to me. First try on and pair your phone via Bluetooth to the laptop. This work right away - only then you can do nothing. Irritated, the BDA surveyed - aha - Bluetooth can only be used for speakerphone or for transferring contact details of a cell phone. OK - so coupled the iPhone 4S. The phonebook entries were all transferred. This works really well.
To all the haters out there Outlook: Of course it's nice that I can transfer data independent outlook. But I need all my phone data on your phone? No. Selecting using the PCs not possible. So laboriously scroll manually through the phone book and delete individually.
It is good that all numbers of the contact are taken. Total stupid though, is that the numbers are not marked. A name with several numbers is as follows:
First name name
0123123456
0123789
0151123456
It lacks any marking option. So when I home number, cell phone number and office number have gepeichert to a contact, I now must guess which number is for what. This is actually better! Since Panasonic, this function can actually equal to abolish again and create a separate entry for each number. That makes it antiquated - but easier. In the current implementation I have the number by heart - I do not need a phone book! A small icon before the number would indeed be enough ...
Above I mentioned the deletion. Rummage through my phone book, I discovered orphan numbers in a contact. So marked number and click "Delete". "Yes" is selected and then "OK". And now? All the contact is gone - not only the unwanted number. What a bummer Bug ...
Speaking Bug. The phone has an Eco mode. This can be turned on and off on the handset. Only stupid, that I no longer have reception in eco mode! And on 90 sqm. So this is purely a publicity stunt. Over several floors I had decreasing power still understood. But two further rooms no reception?
Display Sound & Light:
Colorful, although it is - but the display can be easily read really. Entries (eg contacts) can be enlarged. The lighting of the display is very good. Unfortunately, only the numeric keys are illuminated. Illuminated menu buttons, or at least call acceptance / rejection would have made sense (in my eyes).
The ringtones are at least out loud. A desired color, I have not yet found. Next I have not researched here.
Conclusion:
A Gigaset with the voice quality of the Panasonic and I were satisfied. So it is clear to me that the negative features of the phone predominate:
- Weight and feel
- Resonating inside
- No Categories for phone numbers of a contact (Office / Home / Mobile)
- No separate keys per digit
- Complete keyboard is not illuminated (only the numbers)
- Cumbersome for me Navigation
- Poor reception
Positive are the truly outstanding voice quality and the good display. Unfortunately, I am looking for a phone with gimmicks - I may well make calls with my old Sinus45K of 1999th
