Excellent voice quality, comfortable fit

Long version
I use a headset on my stationary office phone (Yealink) as well as on the smartphone (BlackBerry) and am now very happy with the small device.

The design looks thoughtful and high quality, all controls (power, volume, call answering, voice control) can easily be reached. Only the rubber-like connector between the battery and ear plugs acts labile and can at least pay little doubt about the durability. Something impractical in my opinion also the special charging cable. While now actually has only a microUSB charger going Platronics relies on its own special connector. The magnetic clickable connectors is not wrong in principle, but it's just again an additional adapter.

Before the first use of an update of the software is recommended. Therefore you have to call up a website and a program of Plantronics install (for Windows and Mac). The update itself and all setting changes are made via the Internet browser. I am certainly no friend of such browser applications and had also the same struggle with problems. Neither Firefox nor Internet Explorer my Windows 7 installation could be to establish a reliable connection to the headset. While the headset is detected, but the program broke repeatedly from having connection errors. On a second PC, just as Windows 7, it worked then, however.

The actual start-up is then done within one minute: turning, looking at the phone and pairing. Even can be lostelefoniert. The real stand-out feature of the headset is the ultimate voice quality and of which I am absolutely thrilled. I have tested various different headsets manufacturers (other models from Plantronics), but the Voyager Legend is the first thing that surprised me the point speech quality positively. The microphone does its job perfectly, the voice is often heard even better than without a headset. The reproduction of the caller can be heard loud and clear. Although ambient noise can not be completely eliminated, but the noise-canceling its job fairly decent extent.

The talk time is indicated somewhat optimistic with seven hours with me a single charge has been passed on for more about the six hours. If the range is to get on average four to six meters, then there are significant inconsistencies.

Conclusion: The Plantronics Voyager Legend is especially for the price range a very good headset that stands out in particular by the excellent voice quality and comfort. Something doubtful is the long-term durability of the flexible earhook design and can really annoy the problematic update / configuration software.
