Rachel is Irish and lives in New York where she indulges in his penchant for partying and drugs. Summoned by his family to return to Ireland to do a detox at the Priory, she agrees to go only thinking it's a fitness center for celebrities. There, she discovers a life "the hard way". Through flashbacks and visits from his family, the drive and Rachel herself becomes aware of his dependence and his attachment to her former boyfriend. In short, a very good read with a very funny style (which is surprising for such a serious topic), realistic, with very touching passages where we realize that we all have a part of Rachel in us.
