Bought as a backup to me this record. Works perfectly until now. Here any noise was look me and no matter since the plate does not lie on the desk, but in a closet. Surface is certainly catchy and less problematic than others (fingerprints), as it is dull and "roughened". Cords are good and in the housing. Have approximately 2TB copied to a, although took a little (still working with USB 2.0), but there was no dropouts or other problems. See no reason which would militate against a recent purchase and settlement and on Amazon I appreciate for years anyway.
