My first attempt to replace the halogen bulbs failed because the unpleasant "flicker" the LED bulbs. The Philips Capsule does not flicker (so I did not have to replace the power supply, it was also difficult to reach). Unfortunately, the bulb is approximately 3 times as long as a halogen bulb, and also not easy. But instead of 2 x 25 watts I just need 2x 2.5 watts at slightly less light than before. The contact terminals should not be completely worn out, otherwise the LED could slip out. The light distribution works through the Acrylic? Essay quite well. Update 09/04/2015: The LED does continue their service, unfortunately there is no lighter variants, only the 3W version, but only emits light in a direction :-(.
