My first attempt with this new light source was a complete success - halogen lamps 12V / 20W out and LED spotlights in! Instead of the previous 3 spotlights à 20W (which still worked), I have now in the bath 4 LED spotlights à 2.5W and brighter with a pleasant color temperature. The specified power of 2W is likely to be the pure LED power measured I have exactly 2.5W, which is likely to be due to the upstream 2-way rectifier and the constant current control. A normal "iron" -Vorschaltgerät work right away, an electronic transformer requires a base load. With a lack of base load the transformer can cause flickering or outright exposure. Dimming works only in a very small area, but that is not provided in the specifications. Because the price is only slightly higher than for brand-halogen spotlights, the savings over the life and power consumption huge! Now I will say goodbye definitively by lethal injection (energy saving lamps) and change in all rooms in LED lighting. Where it is necessary, also dimmable LED lamps can be used.
