We have (to loft basement) distributed nine Flamingo FA20RF / 2 wireless smoke detector with the Magnetolink magnetic attachment to ceiling throughout the house. When mounting the magnetic disks on smoke detectors, as well as to the different ceiling (concrete, plaster, wood, woodchip wallpaper and smooth) we paid attention to dust and grease-free surfaces and these previously cleaned with mineral spirits. At the Rachmeldern itself large and smooth surface for the attachment are plentiful. Unfortunately, two smoke detectors have already fallen from the ceiling. The first after a week and now after 4 months of the Second. Solved has always the bond between smoke detectors and metal plate. They were so damaged, so we had to replace them with new ones. This we took the opportunity to check all smoke detectors and had thereby find that broke even at two further bonding between smoke detectors and metal plate. All adhesions between the ceiling and the metal plate are against bombproof! We are now considering yet again conventionally fixed to screw all smoke detectors and to forego the "apparent" benefits of magnetic attachment. Who wants to be like night woken at half 3 of a crashing smoke detectors.
