Hello everybody, perhaps am the only one with this phenomenon, but for me, the box did not go with my 3TB drives from Western Digital in RAID1. I put the box on the single, I immediately could access it, I placed it on Raid1, ran the plates, Windows recognized and shortly thereafter went the Box and Windows meant that the disk is no longer available. In Computer Management, appeared only briefly. Formatting brought nothing and only with a plate in Raid1 no access was also possible. The toggle switch back was set so that the box itself when you remove the USB cable not actually goes into standby. Whether or Win7 Win8.1, the board simply remained inactive ... I have complained about the box and it sent me a new one. Unfortunately, this was exactly the same phenomenon, only here the fans ran also very round, which may annoy some user expectations.
Since I as an IT technician was desperate, I dug two old 1TB drives from the drawer - with this work the box properly! I have to test data written to a disk, it plugged into slot B, the box started and then put the empty 1TB disk in slot A - the Rebuilding took less then 8 hours, and all data were in sync on both plates. Even when you remove a panel could continue working.
Conclusion: If the box works with the plates, it is certainly a great case - unfortunately I had no luck with it.
PS: I have now ordered the RAIDON GR3630-SB3, this works just fine with my 3TB disks and the display shows useful information such as the Rebuildstatus percentage.
