Material:
+ The box is nice, quite stable and still has room for more small games, so if you go on trips.
- Due to the many small parts (21 cardboard plates, 1 Mouse figure, 1 wooden dice) you have to take good care that nothing is lost.
How to play:
The mouse is by die roll moves through the forest, each 1, 2 or 3 squares forward. Three sides of the cube to show a mouse and the corresponding number of waypoints, the same color as on the game board. So one has to be able to read any numbers and the relationship is easy to see. Must only count to three you can, of course.
The other three sides of the cube each show an animal: a snake, a fox or an owl. For these animals, there are four plates, are assembled piece by piece (almost a 4-piece puzzle): always a tile when the animal was rolled. Once an animal is composed, it has arrived in the forest, and if it is then rolled again, you have to move the mouse back a step. As a result, and that progress is faster in the beginning of game, at the end, when animals are composed, slowly. But because the forest road is also composed of platelets, which are turned upside down after passing through, which you can never really be thrown back and is definitely the destination.
(The back of the track tiles 9 shows the Gruffalo in all its glory, completely admire after completion of the game. The progress is so very nicely done and clearly has an additional incentive.)
The players roll and take turns same mouse. One could the person who places the mouse on the target field, called a winner, but actually you can do that together.
Game Duration: 5 - 10 mins
The combination of cooperation and guaranteed victory probably like every child, especially if it knows the Gruffalo story.
