Having a different charger for my Sony RX100 in over a year use the charger without any problems, I bought this version with other charging cradle for Sony HX7V because the original charger was lost. Charging works here again without any problems, the batteries do not get hot, the performance and fit to original battery, I feel the same (have however not measured it) The charger itself is pretty small, the additional USB port for charging other devices is also very convenient , saves power supply and cables while traveling.
