double minus!

as one of my previous speaker has already observed correctly: Reviews to disks that were written two days after receiving the goods, are worthless. that the plate looks pretty, I can see in the pictures also. essential is that the drive works reliably and is not susceptible to data loss. and therein lies the problem:

I have this hard drive purchased at Amazon.com, connected home, and days of operation for 2 was already broken. the disk was only clicking noises and nothing more. the uncomplicated Amazon Customer replacing the disk as soon as possible by an identical, new. I use this for about 3 months for data backup. I am currently professionally in the United States, have the plate thereby to have data access from home, but since tonight it does nothing more. the NTFS partition on the disk is lost from one moment to the next, I sit for 3 hours on the computer and try a variety of data recovery utilities - I can not believe how many sectors on the damn plate are defective! My advice: stay away from this product Monday, that's not a hard disk but an outrage!
