Dream Camera 1 1

I am working intensively only since more than a year with the photograph. On the search for "my" camera I came from Sony SLT Alpha models to Canon DSLR. The SLR / DSLR were too bulky, too flashy for my preferred field of street photography and dissuasive - for me it was always quite a lot of effort take the DSLR, so she stayed mostly at home. So had a camera system in the house.

The choice fell on a Sony NEX6, I shoot you with viewfinder. The Nex is great, well made, great size, good and fast autofocus - the E-mount lenses are in my view not so great, I always had the feeling of plastic and a lack of sharpness in the picture. And the appropriate Zeiss lenses are priced a real big hit!

About the XE-1 I read a lot of forums, very often tried in specialized stores - it was a love-hate at first sight.

Its very design, the intransigence during processing, the feel - Even the appearance I found them always sexy.

Operation is clear, simple, simplistic, downright profane and minimalist. The panel on Objektivrad that time and exposure compensation up next to the timer, the ability to run the ISO to Auto with limitation, the best so far I have used Auto WB - just great.

And then the optics from Fuji to the 18-55mm ..... already enough for me as a beginner / Genussfotografierer for 99% of all shooting situations.

The light intensity of the sensor and the Objetkivs impressed me, I take pictures only in JPEG, have not dared to venture I to Lightroom and Co, all want to learn the art of photography "pure" and play with it for now. But what is coming out of the JPEG engine of the XE-1 big screen.

It just makes me infinitely more fun to take the XE-1 in your hand, manually adjust the settings to take my time for the compilation of the image.

So much for the "love" part.

The "hate" component of my "relationship" to the XE-1 is clearly the slow autofocus. Snapshots of ball playing children, who were with the NEX6 times evenly and at any time, at least I do not get down like that. The new firmware for the camera and lens have since quite a bit well done on the ground again, a spontaneous and Actioncam the XE-1 is not yet.

I have for myself but decided that the also be not at all need and like to let all photographers with fast DSLRs or system cameras like the Samsung and Sony precedence in action shots - and look out number two like to be there to do my best to play with the to experience the depth of field and slow shutter speeds and feel the photography for as little as relaxing.

In this respect, my XE-1 has opened a new perspective on my new passion and decelerates me.

Nice that there are still those cameras and nice that they now fit compared to the Leica's in my budget.
