Bringing It All Back Home (Audio CD)

Customer Review

in 1965 suggested this disc like a comet in the pop world a as themselves could not keep up the Fab Four from Liverpool ....

while the British "Help!" called Dylan played a serenade of "mr. tambourine man" which was successfully also covered by the "Byrds" ...
until a motorcycle accident with compulsory break let the rest of the world some time to catch up music.

a record sleeve full of symbols, fertile area for research for any subsequent "dylanologen" and "Dylan's license-holder" - and just music as cerebral journey into a hidden subconscious ...

the electrically played numbers go like a hurricane tempered by the folk music: "Outlaw Blues" and "on the road again" is wild, rough 12-clock blues at its best.
"Subterranean Homesick Blues" are free-floating associations without really make much sense, based on Chuck Berry "too much monkey business".
"She Belongs To Me" and "Love Minus Zero / No Limits" are soulful and extremely gentle love songs with depth.

the purists are numbered as "mr tambourine man" or "Gates of Eden" serves more than princely.

the world was visibly excited about the explosion of creativity. a man who had his endeckt talent and made use of it feudigen ...

the sound of the remasters is a treat for the ears and justifies the already low price anyway.

Conclusion: a big, important album of Dylan. the mix of electric, sizzling music and soulful acoustic runs once through the album ... a clear 5-sterner !!!
