Shortly beforehand: I did not become equally warm with the album and the first through listening has destroyed me a little bit my anticipation. Although I had heard the previously einhörbaren tracks like Anthem and the title song, but inside I had somehow been looking forward anyway to a new Storm Rider. That does not, however, one gets here. In my view, there is no return to "old times" - exactly how the well defined and if you look at it as good or bad remains entirely up.
However, I must say that the album is growing!
Could I after the first few runs still no song from the other different, so I want to hear more and more songs again over the past few days, they grow a simple fond. Have struck in the beginning with me directly Dark City and Iron Will. Little by little I wanted as well as other songs repeatedly hear, so I liked Tragedy And Triumph initially not at all, but now the song from the atmosphere reminds me very much of Mystical end of that time, I still love to have.
In so far I can only say that it strikes me at least a little time.
However, some songs reminiscent of the style of some of the previous album and even more at Schaffer's Sons of Liberty (especially V, for example). For me personally, but not a big gripe. The lyrics has taken in accordance with the concept directly times Schaffer. What you think of it remains up to you, I express it this way: I can not find anything objectionable in hiring, sometimes I feel it but almost as little pushy.
Nevertheless: The album I would unconditionally recommend. Especially the guitar work I feel this time as really herausstechend and not just riff-technically, but also in the solos and lead parts. I would not have expected in this form and it pleasantly surprised me.
One last word to Box Set:
Yes, it is definitely worthwhile if you have use for things. The Deluxe Edition with Iron Will worthwhile in my opinion anyway, that objects in the box are of high quality and not a scrap, you get lots of goodies for the price compared.
What can I say at the end ..?
Good album, more so people ... even though, uh, if you could possibly do so again a second Storm Rider, I would probably not be offended! But since that is not likely to happen so - Dystopia takes a big step in a good (something new) direction in my opinion!
PS: Stu Block rocks! I do not know what there is to criticize there.
