I then stumbled upon the DC Deck Building Game and an absolute DC Fanat course I had to slam.
Quick to play:
Each player draws one of the superheroes (all come from the Justice League, so Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, The Flash and Green Lantern), which all have different bonuses in the game. You start with its launch deck that consists of weak cards with which you can buy but then stronger. Each 5 cards you draw in his hand and added their power plays and their skills from. The tickets purchased are mixed into the deck, so that it is always stronger with time. The aim is to collect enough "power" in his hand to cashing the current supervillain. A normal game includes 8 villains, but contain 12 and when you feel like, you can certainly integrate all and extend the game so. In my opinion, makes sense, because just the mechanics of the game is designed so that its own deck is getting stronger and as the playing time actually increases the fun. If a first time beautiful combinations are managed from different cards and the players sitting with mouth open against, will you not stop the game.
The printed package a minimum age of 15 is given, which I think is absolutely exaggerated. I play regularly with the 10-year daughter of my friend, and she had the game in no time out, although the cards texts are in English. Especially children, who are on comic book heroes, do not need long, memorize which hero has the forces and the impact of this in the game. Of course the game is unplayable when nobody at the table has over command of English, but that should nowadays anyway be more of an exception.
The maps are well made, the artworks come from the current 52 New series of DC Comics and is really nice to look at. The game can be started with little effort, only after the match, you just have to sort something, but this is also done in 5 minutes. The playing time is between 30 and 45 minutes, ie also suitable for fast times in between.
I can play in any case absolutely recommend, just for comic fans. Who can not do anything with comics or specially DC, may (also from Cryptozoic) engage basically also the Lord of the Rings game that follows the same mechanics, but just offers other characters. Ascension plays also similar and also has a fantasy setting. However, I remain Batman, Superman and Co. faithful and did while writing the review grade again really buck get compromised :-)
