What I particularly liked:
+ Hanabi is a cooperative game: All players play together; There are no winners or losers in the end, only a larger or an even more beautiful or just a "legendary" Fireworks!
+ The rules are simple and short. The idea that one upside down must hold the cards and myself can not see what you have, giving the game a certain "twist": It is unusual to do that sometimes when shooting in Game zeal wrong (and then takes up just a new card), but it works very well.
+ We played with the simple standard output, but had the games Messe Essen a beautiful DIN A2-wide support on the for the five by five color cards as any other game elements beautiful, clear free fields were located. Tip for a gift of this game: Buy The standard edition and a homemade game pad on cardboard or fabric to give = great joy when recipient!
+ The degree of difficulty is high enough so that it would not be too boring; in each new game turn with other players, the tactics and the togetherness-bypass may be different. The age "from age 8" I think a little too young; better off with children from 10 years.
+ The price-performance ratio is unbeatable: A "Game of the Year" with so much fun for so little money, it has never happened before!
Possible Negatives (which I have not experienced so):
- If you have a "chatterbox" sit at the table, the fun of the game for all is at risk.
- Hanabi is not so sophisticated, that it was my top ten favorite game might be now or in the future. Now, in this game, weekend, however, it was in fact from the 20 tried out playing my favorite game.
Conclusion: Hanabi should be in every major Games Collection. It's a nice family or friends game for in between, if you'd like to not only eat or talk, but also play. For games evenings, it is a good warming-up or cool-down, because there is no winner, no loser, no quarrel.
