I bought this because the wifi router wifi connection from my Freebox Revolution was of very poor quality (permanent stall regardless of the tested configuration) and the use of a WiFi extender did not solve the problem (expanding a network that picks all the time is not used to much ...). Installation is very easy when you follow the instructions (one provided in the box is that of Archer C7 version, but it is easy to transpose the purchased version of C2). It will nevertheless go through a wired connection (via Ethernet cable) between the router and the PC for configuration. An installation CD allows the setting of 2 wifi networks very easily. Nothing is installed on the computer: it is a positive thing because it does not pollute the computer but it will be important to keep the CD under the elbow to change the configuration (but you can download the program on the manufacturer's website). Both networks work well: Wholesale rate for the 5GHz range but less than the 2.4GHz. The network on the 2.4GHz band really far door (passes through several walls). The advantage of having two channels is to be able to allocate to a first group of devices (one at 5GHz for those who are closest to the router) and the second in another group (2.4GHz for those are likely to be furthest removed from the router during use). Among the negatives: - The antennas are a little fake but they work well - Luminous pictograms on the router are really small
I highly recommend this device for its implementation simplicity and scope of its network on the 2.4GHz frequency. It solved my big wifi stability problem on my Freebox Revolution! A very good quality / price ratio.
